Suitability and the Right to Decline Treatment

All Teeth Whitening treatment is preceded by an assessment. Treatment will not proceed where the assessment indicates it is not appropriate. Circumstances in which treatment may be declined or postponed include, but are not limited to:

• Untreated decay, active gum disease, an abscess, or another unresolved dental condition.
• Significant enamel erosion or extensive exposed dentine.
• Restorations on the visible teeth where a colour mismatch would be the likely outcome.
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Very recent dental treatment that has not settled.
• Expectations that the treatment cannot reasonably meet.
• Failure to disclose relevant health or dental information.

A decision to decline or postpone treatment on these grounds is made in your interests and is final. Where an assessment concludes that treatment should not proceed, no charge arises for that assessment.

Cosmetic Teeth Whitening is provided to adults only.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information about your dental and general health, including sensitivity, existing dental work, and any current or recent treatment.
• Telling us about any previous whitening, particularly recent treatment or products purchased online.
• Telling us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Following the aftercare guidance given to you, in particular during the forty-eight hours immediately after treatment.
• Reporting promptly anything that is not settling as expected.
• Maintaining your own routine dental care with your dentist.

Where information is withheld or inaccurate, the suitability assessment may be compromised and the outcome affected.

Results

Teeth Whitening results vary between individuals. The outcome depends on starting shade, the type and depth of discolouration, enamel thickness and condition, age, existing dental work, and lifestyle. A likely range is discussed at consultation against a standard shade guide; no specific numerical outcome is promised or guaranteed in advance.

Results are not permanent. They typically last between six months and two years depending largely on lifestyle, and gradual fading is the expected pattern rather than a defect. Maintenance treatments may be required to preserve a result.

Whitening agents have no effect on crowns, veneers, bridges, composite bonding or tooth-coloured fillings. Where such restorations are present on the visible teeth, a colour difference may become apparent after the surrounding natural teeth are lightened.

Temporary sensitivity is a recognised effect of whitening and usually settles within a day or two.

Prices and Payment

Prices are published on the prices page and are current at the time of publication. The applicable price is confirmed with you before any appointment is booked.

Published prices include a pre-treatment consultation and the treatment session. Where an additional item such as a take-home maintenance kit is recommended, it is a separate item and is discussed and agreed with the amount stated before treatment.

Prices may be revised from time to time. A revision does not affect a price already confirmed for a booked appointment.

Appointments, Cancellation and Rescheduling

Appointments are arranged by agreement. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel, so the time can be offered to someone else.

Where an appointment has to be changed at short notice by us, you will be contacted as soon as possible and offered an alternative.

Two-Person Bookings

The two-person price applies to two people receiving treatment together. It is not transferable to two separate sessions for one person, and it is not a discount that can be carried forward. Each person receives their own assessment and their own full treatment, and each remains subject to the suitability assessment independently.

Where one of the two is advised not to proceed, the arrangement will be discussed and resolved reasonably.

Returning Client Rate

Once you have received treatment, subsequent laser Teeth Whitening treatments are charged at the published returning client rate. The rate does not expire and is not affected by the length of time between visits. An assessment is carried out before every treatment, including for returning clients, and treatment may be declined or postponed on the same grounds as for a new client.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, no liability is accepted for:

• Outcomes affected by inaccurate or withheld health or dental information.
• Outcomes affected by failure to follow the aftercare guidance provided.
• Results that fall short of an expectation that was not agreed at consultation.
• Any effect arising from the use of other whitening products alongside or following treatment.
• Indirect or consequential loss.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please raise it directly and promptly. Because starting and finishing shades are recorded against a standard guide and the agreed target is documented, a concern about a result can be examined against a record rather than against recollection.

General

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

These terms may be updated from time to time, and the current version always appears on this page. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
